Anyone else own a pair of docs that squeak when walking?

I’ve done everything to try and stop mine from squeaking, put balsam on the leather, removed the insole, put talc in between the insole and shoe, even lightly sanded the rubber sole.

Happens on most surfaces also.

I’ve come to the conclusion that these are cheaply made boots and had to stop wearing them.

Tried contacting DrMartens and their after sales are not helpful to say the least.

Timpsons want £80 for re-soling them.

Any comedy puns are most welcome or even advice from someone who cured their squeak.

Just got some Timberland sprint trekker boots (made in Cambodia) and worn them first day at work and after 4hrs left boot is squeaking same as the docs.

Could I have a squeaky foot?

Will be returning them when I get home. I have the same pair in black and these are silent stealthy boots.

I have a few pairs of Adidas Gazelle trainers that squeak. My daughter noticed it and pointed it out, then I noticed they all do it. I cannot unhear it now
Yep, once you notice it it’s annoying as hell and the place I work just amplifies the noise in the corridors so I sound like a one man band.
