drop in 3dmark 06 score

Hi recently downloaded and installed sp3 for xp home and ever since my 3d mark score 06 has dropped from around mid 13000 to 12100 and nothing has changed at all to the cpu or the gpu clocks .

specs are

4 gigs ram 800mhz
1 x 8800GTX @ 625 core 950 memory, latest drivers

any ideas on what could couse this drop of more than 1000 06 marks ?

might be worth re-installing your mobo chipset drivers and your nvidia gpu drivers too. what's game performance like? noticeably slower or not?

No noticeable difference on performance in games just the benchmark atm, am i right for saying sp3 on xp should increase frames a bit anyway rather than decrease it?

it should be around 1400
i get 14500 with a q600 @ 3ghz a 8800 ultra overclocked and 4 gig of ram at 1066mhz

I wish I had known that as I would have run 3dmark06 on my new rig before installing SP3. I only got 16598, another 1000 points or so would have put me up another 10 places on the ocuk 3dmark06 chart.

That was a Q6600 @ 3.8Ghz, 1066 mem and a g92 gts running at 850/2200/2100 before the op compares
