Looks like it is just a plain old M.2, which can be either SATA or PCI-E 3.0 (4 lanes).
It is unclear what size your motherboard supports, but 2280 is a more common size. Crucial seem to think that 2280 fits in their configurator.
You might want to check where the standoff (from the screw) is located and if it can be moved, since that will tell you what size the M.2 slot can support.
PCI-E 3.0 drives I'd consider: Samsung 980 or WD SN570. These don't have DRAM, but they're guaranteed to be TLC and have decent endurance. Many (most?) PCI-E 4.0 drives say they're backwards compatible in their datasheets, if you can get a better drive/price.
If the SSD has hard usage, or is an OS drive, then I'd look at something higher-end, which has DRAM.
