Just wondering whether drop links makes a different in handling of the car. for example 2 brand new drop links, one is expensive and the second one is cheap drop links. Performance wise not durability. Thanks

I bought a set of cheap (£6 each) drop links for my old alfa and the ball joints felt looser when I checked before fitting. I have no idea if this impacts on their actual performance on the car.

I bought a set of cheap ones for my MK3 Mondeo, about a week later I noticed the car felt awful in bends.

Upon further inspection it appeared both front ones had snapped in less than 150 miles.

Good quality drop links will improve your steering and make cornering much better, often the OEM ones are plastic, next upgrade would be the wire ones but the best are solid alloy.

As you can imagine the solid drop links will not flex giving quicker steering response, stability giving you a better feel from the steering wheel.
