Had an Email today that said this...

Some important docs has been sent to you via DropBox (ApprovalDoc.PDF)

Documents received will be deleted from our system when it expires.
Thank you
- The DropBoxTeam.

The email seems to have come from a <Name>@Btopenworld.com address

If I click on the "View Document" tab, I am redirected to a "Sign in via email" page

If I look in the header, There is a security padlock, but the header begins ""https://rushyhan.info/ajdimad/847v3yilonm9zkfc5.....""

I am not familiar with dropbox, never used it myself, and I am not expecting any documents.

Is this legit, or is it a rather sophisticated scam?

Thanks, Apart from the dogy looking header it all looks pretty legit. I can see how people can get drawn in.

Just had a look at the Dropbox site too so know what to look out for in the future...

Yes painfully obviously so.

To the point I worry that you are alowed to handle anything sharper than a woolly cardigan.

If you're alerted to any emails or posts to one of your accounts then don't press anything on the 'suspect' email and manually login to the said account.

These scams count on people being lazy and just clicking the links.

If your ever unsure just go to google and sign in via the official web page site never click links on emails

If you have to ask "is this a scam" then you already know the answer. Or at least....you should...
