What are my options here?

Still in warranty, but I wouldn't expect them to repair for free - will they?

What's the best line of repair? Glass shattered, but still attached, touch element seems perfectly fine. Was immaculate prior to this.

Can you call them?

Thought I'd have to go see a "genius" to get a decision.

Yeah, home contents is always there, but that's my last resort really. Are the eBay screens any cop, and pricey? Excess will be £50-100 I guess...

I got a 3gs screen from amazon last week and although it was fiddly getting all the broken bits of glass out, was really simple to replace and was only £10. It looks and works like the original :)

last time i was at the 'genius bar' people either side of me where having there phones replaced after cracking the glass. the staff where pretending it was a one off but how i could i believe that after id heard them say it twice in ten minutes :p

keep it cracked. NathWraith has had an obliterated iphone screen for ages now. Its like a fashion accessory now and a great starting point to a conversation.

or just get a new screen :)

Well, that's why I buy apple!

Popped in explained I dropped and it and they swapped it out for a replacement for free! Awesome, didn't expect that!

I got a replacement off the bay for £6 plus p+p. Nice simple instructions videos on youtube. Very easy to do, as long as you're patient and don't force anything. Definitely a better option than letting Apple ge their arm into you again.

??

I'm of the opinion my new phones screen has a yellowish hue to it. Is this a known problem.

I remember there being something about 2010 iMacs having yellow tint issues which was allegedly down to the glue they were using to laminate the screen together. There was a recall for iMacs with the issue. I've not heard anything about iPhone screens having the problem though.

on release day there was many phones with this problem , supposedly it was something to do with the glue they use , apparently its yellow but dry s see through

the excuse was that phones had been rushed out with the glue not 100% dry , if it doesn't go clear in the next day or two im sure that they will take it back
