Dropped my iphone and cracked the top of the screen, now won't dock and charge!

So guys,

Knowing how clumsy i am i knew it would happen at some point!

dropped it face down onto concrete and the top of the screen is cracked, it still works, even the touch screen over the cracks.

Now because the new iphone is coming out soon i was going to hold on and claim after it. Problem is i just tried to charge it and it won't!

Err, try plug it up to your pc? My old phone sometimes would only charge from pc.

Weird, plugged it into another mac and didn't work. Tried it back in mine and now it will!

Would anyone recommnend hanging on till the new iphone before claiming?

No I wouldn't, as there is not a rats chance in hell they will replace it with the new phone unless stocks of the 3G are very low.

It's not through o2 insurance though, i will be getting cash. It's my personal belonging part of my home insurance. I might be able to get a new one sim free?

your plan might work. it depends if they release the new iPhone on PAYG immediately or wait a while
