Dropped my iPhone tonight.

I've been looking out for a decent case for sometime now for my iPhone 3G. Just bought a Switch easy CapsuleNeo case thanks to this sales pitc....I mean thread :D ;)

Thanks that helped, The thing that puts me off with the rebel is the two tone colour around the bezel. It seems on the neo the top and bottom are different colours to the sides (which i prefer)

Just watching this review:

Edit I have narrowed my choice for cases down to two:

Either the SwitchEasy CapsuleNeo or Incase Slider

I dropped mine the other day, bad timing or what? I had it lined up for sale as well.

Im getting the 3GS tomorrow, but despite this accident Im still reluctant to get a case due to how they make the phone bulky feeling. Not sure what to do yet with regards to a case.

What did you do drop it then reverse over it?

I'm dropped mine loads of times and on a stone floor like I've got in my room (I live in an out building separate to my rents house) for it not to have suffered any damage shows how robust the little things are

In fact the only marks I have got on mine are scuffs from general wear and tear

Concrete floor at work, I guess it was just the way it landed. :/

I still need to sort it out and look into repair/insurance claims, its kinda been shoved to one side since getting me 3GS :)

I will buy it :D.
Unlucky tho, something like this would happen to me tbh.

to be honest it doesn't really add any bulk and also it gives you lot better grip. The only real downside is the screen protector, like all screen protectors it is fiddly and can never get fit without small bubbles.

I dont know how many knocks, bumps and drops my iPhone has survived and it's still going strong - only thing wrong with it is some very light scratches that could be mistaken for normal wear and tear.... I really am surprised about how well made the iPhone is.

I too use a CapsuleNeo case and I feel so much safer with it on, just in case I do drop it one day which would normally be fatal if not for a case.

Im guessing you can't dock it when its in the case?

Does something come with it so it can be stood upright like the original dock?

Was about to order a dock and then thought that would be silly :p

The case im talking about, the Switcheasy Neo, comes with a dock adapter to allow you to still dock the iphone while in the case. They really did include everything you would need... they also give you an extra 'membrane' in case 1 rips, and you get two pretty good screen-guards too.

A steal for the money... *please note that competitor-naming is against the rules* had them for £18 delivered last week.

Personally I use an iPod sock. Phone just about fits and the sock is thick enough to protect against falls. I can then slide the phone out and use it caseless, as it was meant to be :D
