Dropped my macbook!!!

In a state of sadness!!!

Stupidly dropped my prestine 2 year old black macbook last night... hoped and prayed and at firs glance everything was fine...

On closer inspection in daylight this morning... ive bent the screen hinge so it no longer meets the bottom properly and the palm rest on the inpact side have lifted and theres now about a 4 mm gap...

Not in any rush to spend megga pennies and take it to apple, but if thats what you guys/gals thinks best then ill have to eat supernoodles for the next couple weeks and save up!!!

So , any1 else done something similar or any advice?

This is the trouble with portable devices, only a matter of time before they get dropped, banged against another surface etc. If its still usable I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I'd go and get a quote from an Apple Store, so you know what you're dealing with. They'll strip it down and give you a call with how much the repair will cost.

Then it's up to you to decide whether or not it's worth it.

Edit: It's free to get a quote, too, so you have no real excuse not to
