Scared the **** out of me as I heard a crashing to the floor.

Turned round and there was my 6 month old MBP lying face up on the floor.

It had fell out of my camera bag!!! :(

Luckily it turned on and everything *touch wood* works.

Slightly bent battery which I will superglue back together so it lays flat, express card slot has a slight bend in it and its ever so slightly bowed at one end!!!

Need to get it home to check that all the ports work. Thankfully there are no signs of it being dropped.

These things are SOLID. No way would a plastic thing survived it.

I love this thing, and now Im getting everything put on my house insurance lol.

*sighs*

Apple stuff never ceases to amaze me. One of my friends dropped his MacBook down a flight of stairs. But even though it bounced all the way down there was only a tiny mark on it and it works fine!

But on the other hand they like to shed bits of plastic just because the lid closes on the edge of the palm rest :p, it's weird.

Non-portable Macs are obviously the way forward for you butterfingers ;)

Most of the damage I've done my Mac laptops have been dropping stuff on it :p

ive dropped my before and it landed (Opened) screen first, it was layed there opened out undamaged if u were laying at floor level it would have looked like this:

Screen ---> /\ <---Body

I suppose it's good that it was sleeping, but a bummer that the HD is dead :(

All backed up tho.

I can go and get all the other little niggles fixed like yellow screen, dodgy DVD drive, the unflush casing (like it came from the factory with lol), the random wireless dropping out and something else which I have no forgotten about because its so minor.

Edit: The seemly random battery health!! There we go lol.
