Dropping Blueyonder Connection

I seem to have an intermittent connection loss problem with my blueyonder broadband. The internal network stays active, but all computers lose internet access.

I have tried two different routers, both exhibit the same problem.

When the internet drops, the router often loses its internet IP address.

When it goes down, I sometimes can and sometimes can't get to the modem via its internal IP address.

A different modem has also been tested.

Anyone know what could be going on?

Thanks

Edit - This is a recent occurrence, nothing has changed with regards to the network configuration or software on the computers.

I been getting the same thing as well, and its doing my head in, as I never really had a prob with BY before ever in the past 5 or 6 years i have had it. The only thing I could do was power down the modem and reset my router, which a belkin, and then default the BY modem to factory setting again to clear it, and on top of that reboot the machine, it clears it for a while. Is yours a SB4100 Motorola Modem?

If you're losing access to the router via it's LAN IP, it's your router that's the problem.

It's not exclusively screwing up while you try torrenting (or running some other P2P app that opens multiple simultaneous connections) is it?

Thats what I orignally thought as well. I tried a different router and also the same thing. Plugged my BY Modem straight into the computer, still nothing until a power down and restart and along with the bits of kit and resetting defaults. Also down the usual virus and ad scans, turning up nothing. I dont run any p2p software at all. Only downloading i do is via newsgroup, which aint really a p2p app as such. But sometimes it will do only surfing and nothing else.

Last few days its been fine and last time I called their techies, the guy didnt have a clue.....

I solved my problem, maybe this can be of help to you Vicar?

My frequency had changed from 331000000 Hz to something strange. I reset it back to 331000000 Hz and all is well.

The tech support AND engineer who came out didn't have a clue. Useless.
