The sheer amount of drugs found is incredible:

"On board the Kawasaki Racing Team trucks, officers allegedly discovered 18lbs (8kg) of cocaine, 157lbs (71kg) of amphetamine tablets and more than 220lbs (100kg) of cannabis – as well as a handgun and 35 rounds of ammunition, left lying on a table inside one vehicle. "

Somebody was obviously exploiting the teams globe hopping as a way of selling a lot of drugs to a lot of people.

Not really. If they have been getting away with it for ages I and got complacent why would they bother to put anything away?

I can't see that amount of drugs and complacency. They now suff gets inspected even if it's just a quick visual look. Especially with that quantity.
