Had a workshop today with UK's leading session drummer "Craig Blundell" absolutely fantastic player.

Had a play on his Rolan TD9 kit, with double kick, trick pedals, direct drive! :) oh my what a joy to play awesome guy too really nice.

He played his 100 song medley and also played a 5 minute DJ set, on a drumkit with the Roland samplers, 2 of them, and a TD9 absolutely brilliant stuff.

He says hes flying to italy tomorrow to tour with members of King Crimson! Git!

But in the end me and one other guy sat there and watched in amazement.

EDIT; one of the guys at the workshop whos a technician for the university centre played him a track, and Craig said he'd love to session on it, but Matt the techie had to let it go, as he didnt have the time! he was so gutted, but hey! i got asked if i was available for session work, and guess what i said Yes! :) more work coming my way! wahey!

Well im happy, a lot of people yesterday brought up the fact that i could play, and a few guys are gonna throw my name and number about in the industry see what happens :)

So why do you keep it from us?
I've been asking you for about 5 years and the only thing you've bought forward is you programming EZ Drummer for your covers band.
I NEVER **** anybody off so bring it forward.

I can't bring forward what i dont have, i dont own hardly anything by me that i class as decent....

I await the track i did with the massive attack singer, the guy who produced it says hes gonna send me it.

Craig Blundell is brilliant, I saw him do a clinic last year. He had a gorgeous Mapex Orion stocked out with Paiste cymbals - drummer heaven :D

He's touring with King Crimson? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Gavin Harrison drumming for them this tour? 3 best drummers in my opinion are Gavin Harrison, Craig Blundell and Simon Phillips - all British drummers :p

According to him, hes touring with the members of King Crimson.

awesome, sounds like a good time! I'm planning on getting a Roland TD9KX in the near future, its an awesome piece of kit!!

Yeh gonna go for a TD9 or a TD12 for practice purposes, gonna change the drum triggers to the HD7's
