Hi guys (and girls if you're here too)

I'm looking for my first gaming pc. I have been converted from consoles and now need help deciding!

Say I have a budget ~£1000 ish
What is the best rig I could get for that?
And how much more would I have to spend to make it significantly better?

I will need a monitor, keyboard and mouse aswell.
Also, are 3D monitors worth it?

I personally don't think 3D is worth it..

The spec that doomedspeed has done is a really good one. It all games in ultra setting and will not need upgrading for a long time to come.

To get a lot better spec you would have to spend another couple of grand as the top gpus currently go for more that your whole budget. For all the money you would spend you would not see a vast improvement.
