I went out to clean my car today, after drinking a few too many of these..

I noticed that the headlight was slightly wobbly, and popped the bonnet, and saw that two of the headlight mounts were broken, and the only one left holding it in place had a HUGE crack in it.

So i ended up trying to remove it. Unfortunatly, Honda decided that in order to remove the headlight on a motegi kitted front end, you have to remove most of it!

However, having started i couldnt stop, and it was cold!!

I ended up with this, whilst i re-constructed the old mounts on the headlight unit.

Headlight cracks

You can see the cracks are all filled and lined with superglue, and the mounting bracket is strapped in tight to get it back to where it should be!

End result, its all back together, and the headlight fits properly and works as it should, and nothing is moving about :D

Cheers guys!

Nothing else is damaged!! Oh, and im not touching anything else tonight, it seems the more I drink the more sensible stupid ideas become?! I was thinking about making a hole in the cupboard under the stairs to make a window for my aquarium, so it could be seen in the lounge...

At least Top Gear is on in a minute, should keep my occupied for a bit!

If you ever have to do that again, it's better to plastic weld it with a soldering iron- it's stronger, superglue is brittle but a good plastic weld will flex with the shell and not create a stress point/weak point. Though soldering irons and beer don't mix too well :D
