Dry ice

The point at which is becomes gas is -56 degrees.

As it warms, and starts to turn into gas, it might increase the pressure and open the freezer door? (this is a pure guess) making it warm up much quicker.

If it's in a polystrene box, completely full then it should last a fair few hours given that dry ice will last about 6hours in a glorified thermos

You guys having a laugh? 6 hours?

Got a box (1/1.5 inch polystyrene) of dry ice and it has been on the bench (at room temp) for a day. If you add an extra day for the time it took them to deliver the goods your onto 48 hours or so and again, that is at room temp (not sure if this will make much difference)

Edit... And I think a large proportion will remain over the weekend
