Dry/Wet Lube

Hi there

I know the idea behind dry/wet cycle lube but if I am only using my bike on asphalt when it is not rainy weather, but still in the autumn/winter months, would it still be recommended to use the wet lube?

Yeah. Even though I do not ride in the rain or puddles the damp, moisture and fog still create a mess. I only ride about 20 miles a week so am thinking I can just use a dry lube. I think I applied too much wet lube too. The chain was black in 2 weeks.
