DS any good?

Im thinking of buying a DS for my 7 year old son, ive had a look on the net a specs, reviews, etc etc and all seem ok, i just wondered what you guys thought of them?

absolutley brilliant

some of the games are a bit iffy but the good ones really are good! plus you have the choice of advance games as well

, some of the games i looked at looked pretty good, like mario kart, super mario, etc etc. which ones would you suggest to avoid?
