DS - Children of Mana

I've been spening far too long playing the likes of Mario Kart, Sonic, Bomberman etc on my DS Lite.
I was going to maybe pick up Final Fantasy when I saw this game was released today.
I haven't picked it up - I just wondered if anyone else had (or planned on doing so) and what they thought of it?

well i ws a big fan of "Secret Of Mana" on the snes, and i've looked at this game and it looks great, sham ei dont have a ds

This is rubbish according to all the reviews, get FFIII instead mate, or the golden sun series for the GBA.

Was looking forward to it being like Secret of Mana, however all the reviews I've read have said that the game is nothing like Secret of Mana. So I think I'll wait a bit longer til I decide whether or not to buy it.

I've only heard good things about this game and am seriously considering it. I've finished FFIII and absolutely loved it, got 3 other RPGs waiting but I am still very tempted to pick this up.

I think that they deliberatly called it Children of Mana, so many people (me included) would be fooled into thinking that it will be exactly like Secret Of Mana on the SNES, but most people are saying that its nothing of the sort.

Its a shame that all games are coming out on DS, as I got my GBA SP just after Xmas time, and the DS is not exactly pocket friendly in design.

I wouldn't say its bad. Its a simple dungeon crawler with a home town hub you return to at the end of each area. Gets repetitive since all you do is tap your way to the top section in both main and job quests. I can't play it for hours at a time without tiring of it making it nice for a pick up and play handheld game.
