DS Lite bday pressie

Hi all,

Ive just been given a black DS Lite for my birthday along with Mariokart, Dr Kawashima's Brain Training game and Metroid Prime: Hunters. Dead chuffed.

However, my top screen has 1 dead pixel that is always green

So im going to have to return it to online software company she got it from!

Couple of questions:

Any games i should definitely buy?

How in the hell can i keep my Lite clean? It seems that finger prints mark it extremely easily and i dont fancy having to wear gloves to keep it spotless. (Cant stand marks on polished items, im always having to clean them!)

How often is it that a DS Lite will suffer from dead pixels?

I'd recommend Sonic Rush and Mario 64, a lot of people rave about New Super Mario Brothers.

I keep it clean using a cloth I got with my old T610 phone, works perfectly, or if that isn't around I use the cloth we got with our lcd tv

There's a thread somewhere with a poll about dead pixels, should be page 2 or 3 now.

there's about 10 threads recommending games for the DS already...get a lens cleaner to get rid of any fingerprints. if you're concerned about dead pixels, take it back and see if they'll replace it. i've played and enjoyed most of the games on this list

I just returned my black lite at Game due to a dead pixel. I got a white one as a replacement (which looks so much nicer in the flesh) and am well chuffed

Check out Ouendan (you'll have to import it), which is regarded by many to be the best game available on the DS. Along with the games you have, that should keep you happy for a good while

The new Mario Bros. game is also great (I really didn't like Sonic, though)

The good thing about the DS is there's a crap load of good games as well a few great ones. You can do far worse than Advance Wars, Castlevania, Trauma Centre, Yoshi's Touch and Go (one of my personal faves), Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, Kirby's Magic Paintbrush (different name in the uk?), Tetris (fantastic in two player) ......

If you have mates with a DS then Band Bros. and Bomberman are a must.
