DS Lite PSU

Was hoping some one here could help. My mum and dad decided to give me a ds lite tonight. They bought 2 from lakenheath airbase. My dad's ex USAF. Any way its a yank model. Would it be ok to go and buy a DS lite wall adaptor from game and charge it. Or would it kill it?

I used my UK adaptor in the US fine, so I'm pretty sure the US one would work in the UK.
