DS Lite - suitable for young child ?

Hi,

I have a 3 and a half year old son and was wondering if there were many titles suitable for him to play for fun and to aid learning ?

Anyone know of any ?

My 4 year old has one and has loads of games that he likes. Mario Kart etc and the compilation games etc.

a wee bit older but my little girl has had a DS from being 7 (shes 9 now) and she loves it!

Animal Crossing and Nintendogs are her favorites.

If you feel you could trust your child with a stylus to not hurt themselves or lose it then I would say it's perfect.

Get it as soon as possible then, if the Wii is anything to go by, the DS Lite may be hard to come by come December.

Can anyone give some game titles that would be suitable for a 4 year old? I'd love to buy one for my Daughter, but for the life of me, I can't imagine what would games she'd be able to play?

Animal Crossing.
The Sims.
New Super Mario Bros.
Nintendogs.

Those are 4 I know would be fine.

My Daughter really likes the DS, has taken it over now lol. One thing to be aware of is that most games need some form of reading so be prepared to have to go through them a couple of times, they do learn what to do very quickly though. She is 5 and occasionaly a little rough with it. I'd be dubious about letting my nearly 4 year old son have it though as i'm sure he'd break it in about 20 minutes.
