DS lite US launch info needed

I am going to Mexico in june (Cancun) would i be able to pick up a ds lite there or does the us launch not cover mexico ?. Us price is only $129 which is about £80 :D. The jap import are going for about £150 so a big saving.

US: 11th of June.
Australia: 1st of June.

I'm not too certain that the launch would cover mexico. I'd probably see if any games/electrical stores around there have them in when you're there.

I've preordered mine from an australian site and it's worked out to be AUD $203.91 = £82.61 inc priority airmail and insurance.

Edit: Meh, beaten to it :/.

Indeed.

The Nintendo DS Lite will be released in Australia on June 1, for AU$199.95. The Polar White colour will be available at launch. No information has been given on the release of other colours.

This will be the first time Nintendo will release a console in Australia before in North America, although the original Nintendo DS was released in Australia before Europe.

have got any thing from dvdcave before ? just wondering how long shipping takes to the uk, need a ds for the plane.

I haven't bought anything from them before, though I have heard they are generally quite quick regarding item shipping.

That being said, I'm going by what they've estimated which is:

3-5 days via UPS Express
5-10 days via Priority Airmail

The only thing I'm worried about is customs. I've opted for Airmail as allegedly it's "less likely" for it to get hit with tax, and some people have ordered goods from them before without being stung.
 
I was wondering about customs but at £80 the charges are only going to be £20/£25 which makes it the same price as the normal ds.

I think the USA only have white available at launch. If you want a different colour you need to import one from Japan.
 
:o first i've heard of the DS Lite... must have been living under a rock for the past 6 months... :o

looks like an iPod when its closed :-/

is it any different to the vanilla DS, or does it just cost more and its smaller???
