Remember someone posting a video of them playing a DS game called Ouendan something. Cool music type game involving tapping and touching the screen in rhythm. Where can i buy this fine game as i understand there making a European version but that'll probably suck and i'd rather tap along to the catchy japanese music than Britney spears.

No competitors mind!

Cheers

i REALLY REALLY want this. bizarre, i just downloaded a couple of videos from IGN. you can get it on all the usual places...ebay is the only one i know i can mention :)

if you find it on the cheap, let me know because it really looks cool

A european version is in the process of being made, just be released around Autumn i think.

Aye but it's a new version with Western music and i can do without tapping to Britney Spears.

Ouendan is absolutely awesome :) Cleared every stage on every difficulty and enjoyed every second of it immensely. Cant recommend it enough. And yeh dont wait for the western version, most of the charm of Ouendan is the Jap-ness of it. :)

I would normally also be dismissive of a western release of a game like this but I think maybe this one wont suck!

Games gonna be called Elite Beat Agents and its basically a new game which is made by the same team as the original one so its not just gonna be a hashed up port of Ouendan. The only song i've heard on it so far is Walkie Talkie Man by stereogram which isnt too bad a tune.

Have a look at it here

I'm assuming the text is all in Jap, in which case is it hard to understand and follow?

Its almost entirely in Jap, but it'll take you precisely 1 minute to figure out what each option in the front-end does. And you don't need to understand the in-game text to follow the story.

Or just look on gamefaqs I suppose :)

Might get Elite Beat Agents if it has reasonable songs ...... We'll see.
