Anyone know of it?

My 5 day old DS just developed a stuck pixel (well its black most times but changes colour against certain colours) right bang in the middle of the touch screen. :(

Also what on earth happened to the search button on here?

Ta.

If the store you purchased from won't replace it then Nintendo will. They've changed both a GBA and DS for me that had dead pixels.

Nintendo have a zero dead pixel policy, including stuck pixels. I kept mine for a good 6 months (it had 2 stuck pixels) before it really got to me, so I just sent it back to Nintendo with a proof of purchase and a letter explaining the problem.

It was close to Christmas and they were busy with the Wii so it had taken a few weeks longer than it should. Just phone the shop you bought it from or send it back to Nintendo :)

Don't know what happened to the search button

This is stuck though.

Coming up black on a red background, sometimes showing the right colour, also showing light green on white.

I guess thats stuck, does that matter?

No, they will change it as well.

Thanks for the info guys, i will try the shop in a few days, now rush right now, it might come unstuck, you never know, its happened to me with TFT's before.

If you haven't tried already you might be able to fix the dodgy pixel. One appeared on my DS a while ago even though it had been fine since I bought it. You just press firmly dead on the stuck pixel with the stylus while the DS is turned off and then turn it on.

My first Gameboy Advance SP had a dead pixel in the middle of the screen, and the games store I bought it from replaced it, no questions asked. I realise the DS pixels are a lot smaller, but I doubt you'll have any problems.

Its exchanged.

Thanks again for the advice, had a faff on though, she simply didn't want to exchange it for me, trying every trick under the sun, even suggesting i was complaining about nothing!

That's a local games shop for you, would love to mention the name but it would be classed as a competitor, but the shops are in the North and are orange, just like the women serving you behind the desk.

Terrible company, why i keep going back i do not know!

Good to know you've had it exchanged. Nintendo will tell you that some stores are awkward about it and that's why they will do an exchange even if you've only just bought it from a store.

Cheers but my problems are not over yet.

Can't really mention what its to do with, but you can guess, only I'm having a connection problem with this DS, as in its not detecting a certain thing when loading up unless you push down gently on the back of the cart.
