!! I am not looking for sources or how to do this just is is possible!!

Looking at getting a pair of DS Lites for me and my girlfriend. While I know there is a homebrew world on the PSP I was wondering if the same is true on the DS Lite

Cheers

Kimbie

Look it up at Wikipedia.

Don't ask here, the thread will get locked.

But yes.

That being said, I hope you're not after pirating games because that's a pretty lame excuse for being into homebrew. Buy the games on ebay if you can't afford full price.

Yes but the homebrew scene on the DS is pretty poor so unless you're a dirty pirate I wouldn't bother.

You reckon? I'm looking to buy an R4 because I'm quite keen on playing music and videos on my DS and maybe doing some e-mail and organising type stuff.

I hear it's not really powerful enough to do web surfing though, so that sucks.

The videos are lame, look crap and take ages to convert. It's fine for music but the videos are crap. Even if your converting a HQ source.

Ah I was referring to the games... don't know about the areas you mention. You can use an R4 to legally store your games on 1 cart which is handy.

Videos are fine for me and don't take very long at all to convert in the grand scheme of things.
If you expect DVD quality from the tiny screens then you will be disappointed but i was most definitely pleasantly surprised. All subtitles look sharp and everything is perfectly legible, crisp and clear. Very little problems with motion also which is a big bonus.

Seconded, I have a Cyclops Evolution and more than happy with the video quality. I wouldn't be watching it on a DS if I wanted an amazing picture, I'd watch it on a HDTV

There is allegedly a bad batch of Evos with loose SD slots but mine is absolutely perfect and I love it.

Edit - mp3 player seems rubbish in moonshell if anyone can recommend a free replacement.
