Seems strange that they put a worse battery in it though.

Screen probably has a lower power consumption.
Traded in my Lite for the DSi yesterday, did a deal where you get £75 for trade-in against the DSi.
Overall it's much better system in my opinion, so far.
I picked up a DSi and so far am quite liking it. I think the camera and the sound manipulation is a bit of a gimmick, but when some games come out that make good use of the camera then the table will no doubt turn!
Would be nice to hear what you think of it coming straight from a DS Lite. I had a white DS Lite but sold it a year ago and bought a White DSI last friday, personally i am very happy with it so far and think it's great!
Playing through Phantom Hourglass at the moment, superb game that i didn't get to play last time around!
Ah didn't notice the playtime, the PSPs playtime has actually increased with each revision.
Does indeed look like cost cutting, rather funny considering how much the sodding thing costs. Ninty really are taking the urine with their pricing imo.
have you tried it? I might've thought the same but tried one for 2 days and thought otherwise - a nice upgrade.
DS to DSi, yes. Just about.
DS Lite to DSi, no. I actually think it would be a downgrade. You get a small amount of extra screen, a crap camera, a web browser, but you lose the GBA compatibility, the ability to play the DS GH games, and have to pay at least £70 for the priviledge.
The screen size is a noticable difference and their is less screen glare in light environments. The camera isn't that bad actually. Considering it's a gaming console and won't be used to take high quality photographs as people seem to have a decent camera per household anyway.
Personally I've never used the GBA slot (only for GH which I played for about 3 weeks and got bored because their was nothing more to do).
Overall it's a very nice piece of kit and worthy of an upgrade in my honest opinion. It's early day's just yet but the extra memory and cpu power gives it more potential. Also I don't think Activision is left totally out of the blue as they could still use the wireless to use any devices (A bit like the pedometer which is coming out I think uses the wireles)
I'm actually finding now I'm playing my DS more, for some reason it seems a more enjoyable experience.
