DS to get Opera web browser!

I just about to start a thread about this. There were some hints from Reggie last week and I am suprised something has come about so quickly. I am very very pleased that they're using opera though as anyone who has experienced the mobile versions will know that it is a joy to use.

well thats cus this is a 3rd party trying to give you the net.. Not nintendo themselfs.. But id still pay $32 for it.. thats only about £17 .. Plus think of all the flash games you could play on it with the stylus.

I don't see any mention of Flash support...

And $32 is a lot of money considering virtually all web-browsers can be had for free.

I think we'll see it for £19.99 which i don't mind paying at all as it will be a lot more functional than the PSP browser. My only reservation will be trying to view a web page on a fairly low resolution screen.

If the DS was given some sort of storage option like a legal equivalent of the Supercard (a cartridge that fits in the GBA slot and accepts flash memory). Then the sky would be the limit as it would be able to do just about everying a PDA/PPC can do including playing music, videos, photo's. Other things possible would be stuff like a word proccessor and Sat Nav.

With the event of a web browser and the possibility of a storage solution the DS could be the ultimate portable device.

It's a bit different for the DS though, there's no low cost way of distributing it and for £19.99 I don't think many people will complain.

Dual screen browsing should be quite good. It seems the bottom screen will be zoomed out view and top screen an easier to read version.

Hopefully they will provide a few KB of memory to save favourites and what not.

Not sure about flash support, is the DS even fast enough to cope with it? Some vector stuff is pretty processor intensive.
