DS3 controller not recharging

The PS3 DS3 controller's power has been totally used up, and now it won't recharge. The single red light won't even flash up. The other controllers charge just fine. Is it possible that it's just so drained that it needs some time to recharge just to get the LED up or is it ****ed?

Never seen that before. Try leaving it plugged in for a while and seeing what happens. Or try plugging it into your computer. Try with a different cable if you have one. It should still charge up.

Should charge/light up as soon as you plug it in so it sounds pooped.

Ic1male has the only suggestions I can think of.

when my pad runs out it only recharges when plugged into the ps3 not my pc for some reason not sure if thats the problem

you tried pressing the tiny reset button with a pin?
