Having major problems with mine, which should all hopefully be sorted later today. When I built my rig, like a lot of people all I was getting was a constant re-start, with not post or beeps etc....

Having done a bit of research it turns out that all of these Gigabyte boards have a stock VDIMM voltage of 1.8v and most people (like myself) are buying PC6400 ram (800mhz) to run with it. Whether running the F1 or the F2 bios the stock voltage is set to 1.8v and most PC6400 ram runs higher than 1.8v.....

If you're gonna buy one of these boards, don't fall into the same trap as me and look around for something like the Geil PC6400 which runs @ 1.9-2.2v and should be fine.....

Later today I am planning to go and buy a stick of cheap DDR2 ram and hopefully that will allow me to reach bios and up the VDIMM voltage to allow me to use my XMS2.....

ive got same spec.built lastnight but was able to run with geil6400 at 1.8v ...most boards will not recognize the e6+++ and default it lower than stock so the undervolted ram should be fine...i flashed my bios in dos too-cant see a problem here...my opinion
Please re-read what I typed..... Is says that the ram you have is okay....

Right I got my cheap stick of ram, managed to get into bios...... Flashed it to the f3 version (sposed to fix some of the mem compatability issues).... Upped Voltage, changed timings etc.....

All this made no difference whatsoever....... All this leads me to the conclusion that the XMS2 PC6400 Cas4 ram is incompatible with this board! Because I can't see both sticks of theis Corsair ram being Borked!

Gonna RMA it and get the Geil stuff instead!
