DS3 help my dvd drive is not found in windows

Hi

I need some help please !!!!!

I have now 6 STAT drives and now my dvd drive has gone in windows and only shows on the raid post ???

do i need to change a setting in bios to show it in windows ????

IDE or SATA burner?

Try using the IDE cable supplied with the motherboard if you aren't already. I know that if you use an IDE cable that wasn't supplied with the motherboard Windows sometimes doesn't pick it up.

before i added 2 more hdd the dvd drive was fine now that i have 6 hdd all sata it has gone. I can see it on the post screen for raid but no show in windows. I am using the cable that came with the mobo. but the issue has only come since i added the last two hdd

Have you checked that you didn't knock the IDE cable at the motherboard or the DVD end when you were adding the 2 extra HDD?

nope all ok, all cables are in and i can see the dvd in the raid post which is strange but not in windows

any one else had this problem running 6 sata drives and 1 ide dvd drive that it cant be seen in windows ???? do i have to change a setting in bios ???
