I've had my DS3 since Sep/Oct 2006 and not had many problems with it, the only problems i got are:

1. When the system is running I will be using it fine and all of a sudden it will make the noise as though you've unplugged a usb device, the mouse and keyboard stop responding and i cannot move the mouse at all. Sometimes it reconnects but sometimes i have to physically plug it back in :(

2. Ive got my E6300 stable at 3.4ghz but when i trn off the PC and the turn it back on the next day it cycles on...off...on and then boots, at stock clocks :(

Ive tried what i can and im on BIOS F11, with no joy, both of these issues have happened only recently, Anyone any ideas on a solution to these problems?

Thanks, Ben

I notice you have the Geil ULL, i had the same problem with a DS4, but the latest beta BIOS fixed it.

I was sure it was the RAM as it booted fine with a generic stick in

Ill try slackening timings a bit but this clock has been stable for a while now and the boot issue started 2 days ago :(

Anyone know of a fix for the USB issue?

Thanks, Ben

I had the cold boot issue as soon as I started trying to overclock, still haven't found an answer to it, but if you do I would like to know :)

Think mines fixed i loosend timing from 5-5-5-15 to 5-6-6-18 and all seems good so it seems to be a memory related problem. Thanks a lot Meatloaf for drawing my attention to the RAM :)

Nope that didnt solve it, i lapped my CPU today and when i powered up the sytem, booted at stock again :( Got it running fine at 3.4 again just annoying thats all.

I have the DQ6 and that is always losing the keyboard (Logitech G15), have to unplug it and plug it back in again, real pain. I also have recently developed a fault, my machine is on 24/7 with no problems, this morning decided to shut it down as I was not sure if I would be returning until tomorrow. Swithced it back on tonight and back to the old power cycling. I am using the Geil 800 memory, which has worked fine for a long time now. tried some older 667 generic which normally cures it, but nothing, so RMA time. Luckily I have a second machine, but still a pain. The second machine is a DQ6 also, so I will keep it on until my new board arrives!
