DS3 OcUK Rev

A friend got a DS3 last week, its rev 2.0 , and according to temp readings it appears to run cooler by some margain , mobo and cpu temps. Wether its correct or not, i cant say, but my orginal DS3 cant touch it for low temps !

Could someone confirm if the DS3 Rev 2 has a firewire connector. Its not listed on their website but I thought I heard they added one?

Also how many IDE drives can be connected to the board. I currently have 1 IDE hard drive and 2 DVD roms to connect?

Cheers

Mike

I had the same problem with IDE, bought a couple of IDE to Sata conversion boards work a treat, have one spare if you are interested?

The DS3 and DS3P are two different boards.

The DS3 has 1.0/2.0/3.3 versions.
The DS3P has 2.0/3.3 versions.

The DS3P has a Firewire port.

Anyone know if revision 2 is actually the C2 chipset? Anyone whose bought one within the last week or so able to show a CPU-Z mainboard screenshot?

Yes, mine is C2 according to CPU-Z.

Had it a few weeks now, presume its a rev 2 as it came with F7 Bios which im sticking with as I had probs with newer ones.
