DS3P Network / Lan Socket LED's

Is the Yellow activity light on the back of the DS3P supposed to strobe on and off and high speed as my old cards never used to flicker at very high speed.

Can't remember the colours on the DS3 but yes, most network controllers will blink a lot when connected (activity).

All my networks cards and even my modem blink but this is hyper fast like
strobe light , It almost looks like it is permanently on and it doesnt flash in time to the activity.

Another thing

This is the first Gigabit LAN that i've owned but instead of a choice of 10/100/1000Mb/s i've only got a choice of 10/100 Mbs ?

Any ideas why

Are any of your other devices like switches/routers Gbit? if not then it'll only run at the max speed of what its connected to.

That makes sense as it's connected to a cable modem.

I like the DS3P onboard LAN

With large packets Enabled on the card settings my downloads are perm maxed out unlike before.
