Hi all, just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing as me with their Gigabyte DS4. I have a E8200 and highest multi i can use is 8.

I flashed the bios so i could get the .5 multi and used the oc settings in the bios for a while set to extreme.... it ran happily @ 8.5x333.

So i decided to push it a bit further, turned on manual oc and set the fsb to 340.

Now for some reason it is 8x340 instead of 8.5, even though .5 is clearly enabled!!

I know its not much, but every little counts!! Anyone else noticed this and/or been able to get it running at 8.5?

CPU-Z - which showed the 8.5 when i just used the DS4 preset oc

Also bios displays 8x240 on boot. odd eh?

Just checked your right, it's 8 x 333mhz, 8.5 would give 2.8ghz.
Only CPU'S which can go higher are the extreme versions.

X38.

Well i didn't think it would go higher than 8 as that was the max. But I swear the bios boot screen and cpuz both displayed 8.5 before i started manual clocking :S

Would've probably been a glitch at best. I don't see how the CPU Multi could've been raised above it's max 8x
