DS4 + Raptor query

Hey Guys n Gals,

Been faffing about with the DS4 and Raptors but am finding their performance seems to suck on this board, ok theyre the earlier 8mb jobbies iirc but they were running on the DFI Ultra-D and giving me around 72mb/s now on the DS4 theyre down to 62mb/s add to that not that happy about the way the ide/sata ports are really slow to detect when trying raid/ahci

Anyone else noticed that and found a solution?

Update

Still looking for additional user input but in the meantime i've managed to improve things but then got this result which made me
probably just hdtach doesnt like it.

Thats with 2 of the 8mb 74gb raptors on the intel controller sata 0 & 1 with a 32k stripe, also found the performance slightly better by creating a smaller raid set.

The above burst happened after enabling the writeback cache in the intel matrix console, why its affected the read burst but it does seem to write quicker anyway.

Anyone else with raptors care to share their findings.?
