Does anyone know where this is situated. I have a duct mod for my cpu so essentially has its own air passage, but system temps are always around 8-10c higher than cpu temp. I was thinking mabye is near graphics card hence higher temp.

Don't think its near graphics card as I've got an Arctic Cooling x2 on my X1900XT which blows back onto mobo but temps are O.k between 35-44 idle to loaded. The heatpipes are designed to be cooled by the cpu fan so maybe your system isn't putting enough air over them.

I have just installed the Intel TAT problem? The DS4 Easytune gives temps of CPU 34 and the tat gives core0 53, core1 50?? Which do I believe?? Why such a big difference?

Thats because Easytune doesn't take its readings from the actual cores, it takes it from the Socket, the cores will always be hotter, Easytune and the BIOS says my E6600 on my DS4 is idling at 28-30, but core temp says both cores are 40-41, because Easytune and the BIOS only read the Socket temps, not the actual Cores as said, so both will be right in theory as they get their readings from different places. :)
