DSi/DS Lite Power Adaptor for 3DS XL

Hello folks, I bought this power adaptor many moons ago, and now I have purchased a 3DS XL I was wondering if I can use the power adaptor for it?

The cable attaches to the back of the 3DS XL no problems I just wanted to check the current/voltage ratings.

The power adaptor states 5V / 900mA rating.

Can anyone shed some light if this is acceptable for the 3DS XL? Thanks very much.

I bought a charger recently for my 3DS XL, but also has a cable for DSi/DSiXL and is rated at 5V / 500mA output.

If it fits and was made for the 3DS/DSi then it should be fine.
