Hi, I just setup this router yesterday and am very unfamiliar with all the settings.
I'm trying to port forward some applications yesterday without any luck.
Normally I'm used to entering the port range, and the pc's ip address 192.168.1.2 and that's it. For some reason there is an extra table to fill out called "source ip", I looked at the instructions and it mentions WAN IP. I enter the [wan ip] - [port]- [local ip] - [port] - [protocol] and it works
, but doesn't the wan Ip change dynamically? entering all this manually is great but what happens when my wan ip changes....
Am I setting this up correctly?, I'm not sure. normally in most routers I create a service then add it to routers firewall, you cant edit the fields on this router you just have to delete the whole exception if it needs altering and do it again. plus as I mentioned the wan ip ? never needed this ever on any router before.
any help appreciated.
