Im interested in getting a Nikon D80 which will be my first DSLR. At the moment I only have enough money to budget for the camera and one lens, im not sure what I need or should go for, the photography I do is quite general, but Im studying architecture and used macro a lot on my course photoing models so need a lens with macro function.
Ive seen a deal which comes with a Tamron 70-300mm F/4-5.6 LD Macro (Nikon AF) lens, could somebody explain if that can be used as a normal telephoto lens, for normal shots or is it purely macro?
Theres also deals with a Nikon 18-70mm lens, I cant find any other details of the lens, but could anybody tell me if this is likely to feature a macro setting?
Many thanks
Simon
