My wife just informed me that her friend that works for Nikon (scientist doing something with microscopes) gets 50% discount on Cameras, so I think it is time for an upgrade.
Currently have an old D3200 that I use for general snapping and holidays, etc. Also use for some product photography with a tripod.
Like the look of the D5300, is it worth spending a bit more for something more advanced? Benefits of this model for me are built in Wi-Fi, smart phone control and the flip out screen so I don't have to get down to Tripod level to view the screen.
Has been a while since I looked at cameras, don't want to spend more than £300.
