DSR'd my 670

Of course it's entirely up to you OP. Personally though I would have just tightened up the screw and installed the card.

There's no way I'd have spent even more money by sending it back to the supplier, not to mention the inconvenience of being without a video card for weeks.

As previously mentioned, I would have to remove the whole heatsink to access the screw, and that will void the warranty. Anyway, I hope they will find the missing bits tomorrow.

It wouldn't have invalidated the warranty providing you were careful and used the correct tools, it's hardly rocket science.

Half an hour or so removing the heatsink would've been a damn site quicker than waiting for a new card to arrive....

Oh well what's done is done, I just hope for your sake it all works out ok in the end :)

I would have done the same pc monkey. I always return things that I am not happy with and I usually shop from retailers that look after their customers as long as the respect is mutual.

Women are better at shopping than men in my opinion and wives or girlfriends when shopping online or mail order usually order different sizes of the same product only to send the unwanted ones back.

Dsr is there to protect the customer not the other way around.

Good luck with that. I had to threaten legal action many moons ago, to get this Scam of a company to pay a refund they owed me for a graphics card.

We've been through all this before, plenty of people in the thread including myself said the same as you, but what's done is done now. Hopefully this experience will put people off DSR ing for minimal reasons, as in the end this cost is passed down to the customer as it always is.

Let's just hope it get sorted. Worst case scenario is you have to pay for them to ship it:) back to you and you tighten the screw yourself

Above all else, I hope PC Monkey gets sorted and will in future buy from a reputable company like OcUK. I have spent thousands here and never had a problem.

Threads like this always turns into a witch hunt on the OP, like he has done something wrong. He is within his rights to DSR or RMA it for the reason stated. As usual the overclockers forum mentality kicks in "lol told you so op lololol"

What Greg says is right, Above all other issues PC Monkey i hope you get sorted mate. Next time don't make a thread, just do it or else the trolls come from under their bridges and come to get you.

Just to update this thread, Iwas told by vendor they cannot issue a refund if I can't supply the "MISSING" CDrom and Manual. What I did was I bought a new Windforce from the same seller because they were on offer and I missed the one on offer here in OCUK.

1. Sent the CDrom and other bits to vendor yesterday, now I had an email saying refund is issued.
2. The new card worked out 15 quid cheaper after deducting my postage costs.
3. New card has ROCK SOLID support, it does not move
4. New card overclocks better on the core +125 against +80 on the old one. But memory only goes up to +350 against +500.
5. So is the email from gigabyte TRUE about the wobbly bit then ??? I don't know and I don't care. I'm
happy with my new card... now time for some N00B moments in BF3 !

Sorry OCUK for naming the vendor (thought naming and shaming was alright - I already paid the price for getting suspended for 2 days)

Glad everything worked out for you mate. Next time dont post about something like this, the OCuk troll train loves to choo choo through once in a while. Loads of folk in ocuk have a season ticket for it.

cheers bud !!! I don't care about what the trolls say, you get them everywhere in any forums but I'm surprised there are loads here... LOL

Glad you got sorted and trolling is a little strong tbh. I understand where you are coming from OP, I guess I am quite happy taking things apart and wrongly feel others should.

If you wasn't happy with it, you was in your full right to send it back and I respect your choice there.

Trust me though when I say 'buy from a reputable company like OcUK'.

Glad you got sorted pc_monkey, totally support the right to return anything you aren't happy with for whatever reason, fine for people to disagree but there were some people in this thread taking it to extremes.

Anyway it's what DSR is for, so you can examine the goods as if you were there in a shop with it in your hands, if you'd had the chance to pick it up and examine it and saw what it was doing there and then I'm sure you wouldn't have bought it.
