Hi all,
I currently use Thurthear Crinnacle X Red IEM's which I quite like - especially for Teams meetings etc as I don't look like a total spanner with a headset on.

However - I'm now looking for a decent headset for gaming and I've always been curious about open backed headsets.
I don't need a mic as I have a separate mic.

I use a WaveXLR and the headphone output on that, so something that could also easily drive.

I've been looking at DT 990 Pro (80Ohm), Corsair Virtuoso, HD560s and all seem decent.
Any recommendations??

Thanks!

I don't know WaveXLR or the IEMs you've mentioned as a point of reference but I do own the HD 560S and would recommend. Very neutral, detailed, great imaging with a massive sound stage.

I would suggest the TYGR 300R over the DT 990 Pro (I used to own the 250 Ohms version). The DT 990 Pro has more treble, which is either a good or bad thing depending on your view. I would say they are a better tuned 990 to my ear. Smoother, phenomenal imaging and slightly more v-shaped that the 560S but certainly comparable. Easier to drive than the 990's but do better with an AMP.

Can't comment on the Virtouso's although I imagine they are easy to drive.

PC38X also worth considering. So well tuned for gaming and the easiest headset to drive. Works off anything; controller, motherboard etc. Does not need an AMP.
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I actually went and ordered the Corsair Virtuoso Pro headphones before I saw your reply!
From what I've seen in reviews they seem decent and quite looking forward to them with them being my first open back headphones.
