Formatted my pc last night an got everything back up and running today, only thing i can't seem to get to work is DTS from VLC PLayer. I have GTX 560 connected via hdmi to my av reciever and usually when i loaded up a blu-ray rip in vlc my reciever would change and say dts but atm it just says PCM.

I'm sure last time i had to change a couple of settings in vlc but a quick google isn't brining anything up. Anyone got any ideas?

I've got codecs, AC3 filter and ffdshow.

'Go to Tools => preferences => Audio => Output Modules => and choose Win32 WaveOut extension output.

Then Save and Restart. '

This was what i thought would work but no luck, although i found a temp workaround

audio..audio devices and select A/52 over S/PDIF to get DTS to show on my receiver.

I'm connected by hdmi so don't know why it says S/PDIF, still confused. Before if a track had DTS it would automatically switch to it.

Also got XBMC back up and running and that is doing DTS and DD prefect.

I would advise you install the latest version and change the settings from the audio output module settings. check and try with any of the options provided
