DTS to AC3?

Does anyone know an easy way of converting DTS to AC3 within an MKV file?

I had an app on my old Windows PC ages ago which worked nicely but required installing several different apps - I was just wondering if there's an easy way or a single app on OSX that does this?

I've given up the whole process has completely confused me. Apparently it requires MacPorts, which I downloaded but in turn requires XCode which I can't download as I'm not a registered Apple developer.

This really annoys me. Surely there must be a single application that does what I'm asking for and doesn't require all this rubbish. You have to be a bloody rocket scientist right now just to convert DTS to AC3 within an MKV file
