I'm planning to pick up a couple of Dell 2007FP's (1600x1200) to run in a dual screen configuration via DVI from my 7800GT, but I whilst reading around I came across this user comment on a review site:
Can anyone shed any light on this?
I find this hard to believe, as there seem to be plenty of happy owners running two of these monitors. This is a spectacular inexpensive monitor as long as you are using only one monitor and/or VGA. If you have a video card with only DVI-I support, you can use one of these monitors, but not two. What happens is that the "primary" monitor will come on, but the "secondary" monitor will enter "power save" mode during the boot up and not come back on. Dell's tech support was very nice, but their solution is: use the VGA inputs instead. Both of my monitors will be returned to Dell tomorrow.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
