Thanks for the replies. Im just looking at refurbished cards too Just come up with an idea. I kept £100 spare to go towards a camera. I could use this for a new GPU then sell my 9800GT and add extra £30/40 in the future for a camera as I don't know what camera to get anyway.

Just found out my motherboard is a "MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD 770-C45 (MS-7599)". Im thinking of getting a 460GTX

It looks like an AMD 770 chipset motherboard so it wouldn't support SLI anyway.

If you're getting a gtx460 I recommend either one of these,

Or get one of the MSI cards with the Cyclone cooler, they overclock very well.

Yeah I will go for the one in the link. I might hang on though as apparently the 7 series is out soon so prices should drop a little

I doubt there will be any price drops at this price range, and there will probably be no price drops at the gtx580 range. A couple of weeks and we'll find out though.

I wouldn't bother waiting - it's not going to affect a 480 by any amount worth waiting for.

Ok. Just overclocking my current 9800GT. More of a practice thing to be honest. Using RivaTuner and ATITool for testing. GPU temperate is at 66 oC and im 15 minutes into the test. I only upped the core clock by 30Mhz and yes it is linked with the shader clock.
