Dual boot... applications ??

if i were to setup a dual boot with windows 7 beta would i need to install all my apps again to work in win7 ?

if i had two different hard drives, one with vista and one with win7 i assume i would need to install all the apps twice ?
 
it completely depends on the application.

Some apps can run stand alone.. for example, there's no need to reinstall Steam, or VLC.. but most apps chuck info into the registry, meaning they'll need to be installed on each OS.
