I have a new rig with Vista Home Premium 64 bit and was finding it flaky & problematic so decided to install XP 32 on a partition (E
of my HD and run a dual boot. This works well and either OS can see the folders of the other as they are both NTFS format but the XP side can't see the gfx and audio drivers and so I have no sound and worse, Il-2 1946 flight sim is running at 1 fps!
The XP OS does not have access to the internet for some reason cannot see the 10/100 port but all the latest drivers are on the HD anyway.
My question is can I just copy the drivers from C: to E: for it to run (and where are the drivers stored?) or do they need to be "installed" by XP?
Cheers, Nick
