Yesterday I installed Linux Mint 11 on a small partition alongside Windows 7. The installation went fine and when I rebooted the PC I was met with a LM boot screen prompting me to select an operating system to boot into.

I spent a few hours messing about in Mint before restarting the PC and booting back into Windows. Then I did something stupid - I removed the Linux Mint partition.

Now when I turn on the PC all I'm met with is a "Grub rescue" prompt and I can't get into Windows.

Any idea how I fix this?

I've booted from the Windows 7 disc and tried the automatic repair tool. It confirmed it had found a problem and had fixed it yet when I restarted the PC all I got is the Grub rescue prompt again.

I've also tried to bootsect fix from the command prompt but that still results in me getting the Grub rescue prompt.
